Please note that dogs in our program are only available for adoption to those living in Northern California (North of the Tulare/Kings-Kern and Monterey-San Luis Obispo county line), Oregon border counties and western Nevada (Washoe-Carson City-Douglas counties). Special exceptions for working LGDs may be made in neighboring counties on a case by case basis. In any case you must have adequate fencing. Please visit our website www.GPRNC.org for more information. Esti is a 2 1/2 year old female working Great Pyrenees with possibly a little bit of Akbash in her background. She, her 7 m/o daughter Eliza and Eliza's father came from a sheep ranch and vineyard in Monterey county. They were turned over to GPRNC due to a change in the ranch management and are looking for new homes. She is very friendly and comfortable around people and getting affection. She is easy going but needs good fencing as she believes in patrolling what ever she can see. She has only known life around a large 'pack' of work dogs so will do best placed with others and we'd like to place her with Easton if possible altho she will be better off in a Family Farm situation rather than being a full time field dog.
