Please note that dogs in our program are only available for adoption to those living in Northern California (North of the Tulare/Kings-Kern and Monterey-San Luis Obispo county line), Oregon border counties and western Nevada (Washoe-Carson City-Douglas counties). Please visit our website www.GPRNC.org for more information. Abner is an approximately 3 year old male working Great Pyrenees. He was found along with 3 other working Pyrs, one of them pregnant that later passed away due to health complications, in a rural area of Fresno county along with a flock of sheep. Like his boss Abe since being fostered he has discovered the house life and enjoys coming and going so would make a great Family Farm dog as well although the house life would suit him well. He gets along well with other dogs, tolerates cats and was working with sheep. He is playful, energetic and likes going for walks.
